Maintenance Co-Ordinator Appointed By Brookhouse

Brookhouse are very pleased to announce the recent appointment of Grahame Shaw as Maintenance Co-ordinator.

Grahame has vast maintenance related experience, having worked in the industry for over 20 years and will be directly responsible for managing and developing our Maintenance Division for both new and existing Clients. He also has extensive insurance industry experience, being heavily involved during the Carlisle & Cockermouth floods in 2005 & 2010 respectively.

Grahame will be based in our central Manchester office (adjacent to Piccadilly Railway Station), close to our key Clients to ensure they receive the best possible service for both planned and reactive maintenance works.

Craig Stuart, a chartered and professionally qualified quantity surveyor has recently joined Brookhouse Contracting as Procurement & Commercial Manager.

Craig has extensive experience working for and on behalf of property developers and clients throughout a 15-year career. Professionally (R.I.C.S) qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree, Craig has real client-side experience, working directly as a development manager, employers agent and fund monitor on a diverse range of projects of varying values.

Craig said "This is the ideal time to be joining a well established, forward-thinking business with like minded individuals at the helm. Brookhouse are delighted to announce they have recently signed a 3-year maintenance contract for one of the UK's largest student providers, Opal Property Group.

This agreement underpins Brookhouse's growing reputation as a major force in the property services and facilities management sectors, proving our competitiveness on both a regional and national level.

The agreement covers over 7,500 bed spaces through the Northwest and Northeast, including Manchester, Liverpool, Huddersfield, Bradford and Wrexham.

Brookhouse Contracting win refurbishment works with major global legal firm: Squire, Sanders & Dempsey.

Brookhouse are delighted to announce that we have successfully negotiated the refurbishment works with a major global legal firm, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (UK) LLP (Formally Squire Sanders & Hammonds).

This prestigious project comprises the upgrade of their existing Manchester office boardroom facilities in time for their global conference to be held in October 2011.

The specification is of a suitable level to reflect the legal firm's status as a global leader in legal advice and has a number of bespoke elements, which is one of Brookhouse's specialism's.

Brookhouse have worked intimately with the Client's in-house team and London based architect's, providing invaluable construction expertise and supplychain management in order to deliver this important project in a challenging timescale.

The project required an element of mechanical and electrical consultant advise and this was provided by Furtureserve Limited, introduced to the project by us as part of the service Brookhouse provides to it's Clients.

Brookhouse now hope to forge a strong and longstanding relationship with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (UK) LLP to help them deliver all their future project requirements.

Brookhouse Contracting are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of our Manchester City Centre base including stores and office space, which will underpin our dedicated service to our clients in and around the surrounding area. Managing Director Colin Ratcliffe added-“ This presence in the heart of the city of Manchester will enable us to react even quicker to our Clients immediate needs, reducing response times to within the hour in most cases- a great asset in the event of emergency’s which effect our Client’s business and reputation.

Brookhouse secure £450k refurbishment program

Brookhouse has been awarded a contract worth approximately £450k to refurbish 84 student lounges / kitchens.

Within this project was the task of also upgrading 611 bedrooms from single to ¾ beds complete with blackout blinds and minor decoration. Brookhouse was able to source significantly better quality beds at a far better price per unit and we encouraged the client to deal direct with the supplier to ensure that the full benefit of this saving was passed directly to the project. In this case our close relationship with the client ultimately saved him upwards of £60k.
